Welcome to CarDealershipGuy LLC (“Car Dealership Guy,” “CDG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our websites, newsletters, podcasts, community chats, or other related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
About Our Services
Car Dealership Guy provides content, insights, and community resources for automotive professionals. Our Services include editorial content, newsletters, podcasts, recruiting, consulting, events, and digital community groups (such as CDG Circles).
We may modify or discontinue parts of the Services at any time without notice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use our Services. By using them, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use our Services lawfully and responsibly. You will not:
Copy, distribute, or modify our content without written permission
Use the Services for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, or harassing
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
Impersonate CDG or misrepresent your affiliation with us
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or conduct that harms CDG or its community.
Intellectual Property
All content — including articles, podcasts, graphics, videos, logos, and trademarks — is owned or licensed by CarDealershipGuy LLC and protected under U.S. and international law.
You may not reproduce, republish, or exploit our materials for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Limited quoting or linking with attribution is permitted if it does not misrepresent or imply endorsement.
User-Generated Content and License
By submitting, posting, or otherwise providing content to Car Dealership Guy, including but not limited to reviews, feedback, comments, survey responses, ratings, testimonials, or other materials (“User Content”), you grant Car Dealership Guy a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit such User Content in connection with the operation, improvement, marketing, and development of Car Dealership Guy’s products and services.
This license includes the right to use User Content in anonymized or aggregated form for research, insights, reviews, ratings, benchmarking, editorial content, and other productized or commercial formats.
Car Dealership Guy will not attribute User Content to an individual, dealership, or identifiable business without the user’s explicit permission.
Community Participation and Private Content
If you join CDG community programs (including CDG Circles), you agree to:
Keep shared information confidential unless given explicit permission to share it
Contribute respectfully and avoid spam, solicitation, or self-promotion
Not record, publish, or redistribute group content without consent
Content shared within private or restricted-access communities, including dealer chat rooms, forums, and member-only groups (“Private Community Content”), is treated as confidential by default.
Private Community Content will not be publicly disclosed, republished, or attributed in identifiable form without the contributor’s affirmative consent. Participation in private communities does not, by itself, grant Car Dealership Guy the right to publicly republish verbatim or identifiable content.
Car Dealership Guy may invite users to voluntarily submit anonymized versions of their feedback or experiences for use in public-facing insights, reviews, or research products.
We may remove or ban members who violate these standards.
Consent and Opt-In
Certain features, products, or services may require explicit consent before User Content is used outside of its original context. Where required, consent will be obtained through a clear affirmative action, such as a checkbox, submission form, or modal agreement.
Silence, continued use of the Services, or participation in community discussions does not constitute consent for public reuse of User Content.
Users may withdraw consent for future use at any time, subject to reasonable operational limitations.
Content Standards and Limitations
Car Dealership Guy reserves the right to review, moderate, edit, exclude, or remove User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, abusive, or otherwise violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
User Content reflects the opinions of individual contributors and does not constitute verified statements of fact or endorsements by Car Dealership Guy.

While we strive for accuracy, CDG makes no guarantees about the completeness or reliability of information. You use the Services at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CarDealershipGuy LLC and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including:
Errors or omissions in content
Service interruptions or data loss
Unauthorized access to your data
Our total liability, if any, will not exceed $100 USD.
Third-Party Links
Our Services may link to third-party websites or partners. These links are for convenience only and do not imply endorsement. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services immediately ends.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
No Retroactive Application
The User-Generated Content and consent provisions apply prospectively only and do not grant Car Dealership Guy rights to publicly reuse content submitted prior to the effective date of these Terms or prior to the user’s explicit consent, whichever is later.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Updates will appear on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
