Open Call: January Submissions

From January 1–14, dealers were encouraged to submit videos that demonstrated excellence in:

  • Sales/BDC Feature Highlight

  • Vehicle Walk-around or Visit Follow-up

  • Service MPI

  • Aftersale Specialist Video Delivery

We received submissions from all kinds of dealerships — independent stores, franchise groups, fixed ops teams, and more — all striving to raise the bar for video content in the automotive space.

After careful review from our panel of judges and partners at Covideo, we selected the top four finalists to compete in our live final round.

Finalists — Top 4 Standouts

Taylor Mazock, Social Media Manager at Cavender Auto Group
A standout piece that blended personalization with high production, earning strong engagement from both customers and our judging panel.

Jason Espin, Automotive Technician at Benzel-Busch Motor Car
For its innovative and thorough approach to creating a Service MPI for an 80K mile regular maintenance appointment.

Lauren Clarke, RV Sales Assistant at Airstream of South Florida
An exceptional example of a vehicle walk-around for a prospective buyer of a 2026 Airstream Interstate.

Chris Escalante, Finance Assistant at Suburban Buick GMC of Troy
A compelling demonstration of video as a tool for creating strong dealership branding–and excitement for a new vehicle purchase.

The final four contestants had just two hours to create a video for a role-specific dealership scenario. They then brought their work to Daily Dealer Live, where our expert panel judged each submission and crowned a winner live on air.

And the Winner Is…
